Many cyclists who ride their bikes on the road in the Raleigh area are endangered by motorists. ( I don’t want us to become the endangered species as well). I think we all agree about the dangers that texting, intoxicated, cell phone using, distracted motorists pose for cyclists on the roadways. I’d appreciate it if you would circulate the URL link below to your fellow riders, friends and family.
John Pucher who wrote this article is very well respected in world wide studies and papers on cycling environments.

Here is my AJPH editorial I mention in the op-ed piece:
As you probably know, my motto for the past 20 years of research, teaching, publishing, and giving keynote addresses at conferences has been “Cycling for Everyone,” all ages and abilities, women and men, young and old, super-athletes and occasional bike riders, fast and slow cyclists, including even overweight me at 66 years old today!!!
Wishing you a winter warmed by the love of family and friends!
