Imagine waking up to the cool, crisp mountain air of Bryson City with pure excitement knowing you are about to experience some of the most picturesque cycling routes in Western North Carolina. At the Cycle NC Mountain Ride, you’ll be challenged each day with routes that meander through river basins, over mountains, through lush, green tree canopies, along cool, rushing rivers and streams and through some of the most unique and quaint mountain towns.
At the end of the day, it’s time to reward yourself to a cool, relaxing float down Deep Creek. Located just 3 minutes (1.5 miles) from the Swain County Recreation Center, the site of the Cycle NC Mountain Ride Base Camp, is the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. There you’ll find an abundance of activities such as hiking, mountain biking, beautiful waterfalls such as Tom Branch Falls (pictured) all accessible by foot, and best of all, creek tubing.
What’s a better way to wrap up your day of riding than a relaxing and rejuvenating float down Deep Creek. Tubing rental companies are just minutes from camp so you can be off your road tires and onto a much bigger tube in no time. Reward yourself! Go tubing! You deserve it!
