TLC for bikes and the Cystic Foundation had a successful Charity event on Saturday, Sept. 24th.
The event took place at the TLC for Bikes shop in Lafayette Village.
We raised close to $36,000.
The weather was perfect for the 30 mile and 60 mile routes.
We had great support from the Police and the Sag wagon teams.
Stops every 10 miles.
Thanks for everyone’s help!
The Gene Rotberg Memorial ride at TLC for Bikes was a great success! His wife and daughter are center stage !
We now have a cycling angel with us on each ride.
Gene was struck by a truck that did not stay in his lane and passed away at the scene on May 10 2016 on HWY 98 near Kemp. We will ride in memory of Gene who loved bike riding and exercise as much as life its self. We know in our hearts that he wants all of us to keep on riding with a smile on our face just like he did. So come and share the good times you had with Gene and honor the great man, father and husband that he was.
If you want to make a donation make out directly to (People for Bikes) promoting bicycle safety or the (SPCA of Wake County). Please send a check to the address below and they will deliver the donation in his name.
